Hectic lives means hectic nervous systems. Brighton yoga classes brings your body, brain and breath back together in one flowing, calm system.

Brighton yoga classes has been further developing the website and uploading some more pictures - this time with people in poses (asanas) to give a flavor of what to expect from going to a yoga class with Brighton and hove yoga classes.

Brighton yoga classes is looking forward to the partners yoga workshop this weekend where we can learn loads of different ways of doing yoga with a partner - I'm nursing a delicate hamstring at the moment after having some sports massage therapy on Monday so I'm hoping my yoga buddy will go gently on me!! Injuries i always realize are a great way for you to really experience some of the yogic philosophy about being gentle and not grasping or forcing things - being sensitive to your body - tuning in to yourself more- having an injury means that you have to be more present to what your doing and moving with awareness which in a way can be seen as a gift rather than a hindrance.

brighton yoga classes

Brighton yoga classes is in full swing with developing the new brighton yoga classes website. This morning has been all about writing the brighton yoga classes home page and developing the content for the website. Its been great fun researching and letting my more creative writing side come out. I'm not a natural writer as you can tell from these blogs (!) but its good to step out of your comfort zone and try things you wouldnt normally do. In the spirit of brighton yoga classes and what our classes are all about is having fun and learning and growing. Yoga has taught me alot about being relaxed and content with things and letting things flow naturally, trusting that what needs to happen will happen. In this modern age of consumerism and always striving for more we can often be left with a feeling of discontent or 'when this happens' or 'when i reach this goal' everything will be alright, then i will be happy. Yoga teaches us to directly experience in a gentle connected way the beauty and pleasure of being in the present moment and having a sense of fulfillment and content regardless of the fluctuating external circumstances. Everything is always changing, nothing in life can be certain but your attitude and tone will determine how at peace you can be with what ever happens.
'Experience is not what happens to a man. Its what a man does with what happens to him' Aldous Huxley.

Brighton Yoga Classes

Brighton yoga classes had a top day to day... we went to a teachers and trainees day where everyone from our school got together to talk about and share their teaching styles and top tips of how to come into poses, and special techniques for maintaining the energy and enthusiasm so as to keep everything fresh and new even with poses we've been doing daily for yrs.
Brighton yoga classes got stuck into using chairs and blocks for some poses and became more aware of how to counter balance Brighton yoga classes hyper extending elbow and knee joints. Brighton yoga classes really loved trying downward dog a different way by putting your feet up the wall and found this helped to get more extension in the lumbar spine and spine in general.
everyone took a dish to share for lunch, Brighton yoga classes made some houmous which went down a treat along with all the other lovely healthy meals everyone bought. Brighton yoga classes particularly enjoyed the tofu and seaweed salad that Fiona made..yum! going to get the recipe and will post it on here when i do - got to spread the love!

brighton yoga classes

Welcome to the 3rd installment of Brighton yoga classes blog. I had an interesting conversation last night with a friend who does bikram yoga. The main gist was around yoga being the tool to letting go of the ego and being more connected and present in life. Brighton yoga classes are based on the authentic teachings of patanjali and so during a class in Brighton yoga classes you will find direct reference to listening to your body, connecting with your breath and settling your mind in a peaceful and natural way. Brighton yoga classes are about guiding a person to experiencing for themselves what yoga is all about, being connected and having awareness and waking up to yourself, rather than continuing to be caught up in the habitual stories and patterns of thinking and behaving that the thinking/egoic mind would have us do. The main differences between bikram yoga and Brighton yoga classes we agreed on was the forceful and military approach to bikram classes where you are almost shouted orders of pushing your body as far as it will go and forcing everything constantly - its a common dilemma of the western world to always be striving or looking for the next thing, constantly living in a state of slight stress and anxiety as you are not settled in the reality of the present moment. Brighton yoga classes offer a remedy to this by creating space for you to switch off the thinking mind, calm your nervous system down and feel connected with yourself and the universe. Brighton yoga classes help to create a balanced and calming energy that will have positive effects on other areas of your life. Brighton yoga classes can offer you the opportunity to feel peaceful and content which can be a challenge for many.
